My entrepreneurial adventure: Practice makes perfect

Well, what an adventure!

I still remember that moment when I typed ‘How to set up your own business’ into Google, my hands shaking with excitement. Today I can laugh about it, but at the time I was completely lost in that ocean of information!

And then there was that magical moment when I received my company identification number I danced around my living room like a mad woman! I thought things were about to get serious.

so many questions…

Social networks? Another world to conquer! Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook... My first Instagram post was a photo of my chin from below! I learnt very quickly how to delete a post!

The right status? Don't ask me! Artist-author, self-entrepreneur etc… I scoured all the sites looking for ‘clear’ answers, I had smoke coming out of my ears.

My first equipment purchase? I was in a trance waiting for my second-hand iPad to arrive; to this day it's one of my best investments.

But you know what? Every little success, every new order, every positive message from a customer makes me realise that this crazy adventure is worth it. Entrepreneurship is like a merry-go-round: it's scary, it makes you dizzy, but you want more!

So yes, there are days when I wonder if I've made the right choice, moments when I'm lost... But when I see how far I've come, I can't help smiling and telling myself that: ‘I wouldn't give up my job for anything in the world’.

So when are you going to start?
